Our History
ACNB Insurance Services was founded in 1978 as Russell Insurance Group. Led by founder Frank C. Russell from our headquarters in Westminster, MD, the company steadily grew to serve hard-working community members across Maryland, Virginia, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
In 2005, Russell Insurance Group was purchased by ACNB Corporation, an independent $3.27 billion financial holding company headquartered in Gettysburg, PA. The agency was rebranded as ACNB Insurance Services in 2022 to makes our shared mission to be the independent financial services provider of choice more visible to the community members we serve.
Today, ACNB Insurance Services serves more than 10,000 customers and businesses across the Mid-Atlantic from our Westminster headquarters.
